Full Circle Moment

For those of you that follow me know that I do virtual live workouts. I do them 2-3 times a week and as long as the time works my mother joins! It's so awesome to have her support, but it's so much more than that. She is 70, and able to keep up with my workouts. She is the true definition of age is just a number. I never hear her complain about her body, or say she's too old for something. As long as it doesn't hurt her, she does it! She experiences life better than some people I know my age. It's such a beautiful lesson in not letting our age bog us down. Our mind can literally make that up for us.

A couple weeks ago, while I was teaching a live workout, my kids made an appearance and so did some of the women's children, because that's mom life!! Afterwards I got this text from my mom: "Seeing you with the kids reminds me of paying you to ride your bike while I ran outside! And I remember doing Jane Fonda exercise and Raquel Welsh yoga tapes with the girls in my family room."

This brought me to tears

This is what it is all about!!

Here's the thing. I didn't know any different. Life to me meant moving my body everyday. I don't feel guilty about working out because that is what I know from my parents. It's a way of life!

Children learn by watching not by listening.

We can tell them all day long to take care of their bodies, but how are you showing them that? Incorporating workouts into your day will certainly make you The Happier Mom, wife, friend, co-worker, business leader, creative.  I could go on and on about the benefits of moving your body. But Mamas, we are showing our children what self care REALLY looks like. What taking care of our body REALLY means.

If we don't have our health, we have nothing.

Giving the gift of showing your children how to take care of our bodies is one of the greatest gifts you can give your children. They will grow up knowing nothing different. Self care will all ready be a part of their lives. Better yet, talk to your children about how it makes you feel! How you are happier, more relaxed etc after you are able to take care of your body. Make that connection for them. Show them the way. It's never too late to make an impact in your health and in your child's perception.

I'll end with this. Close your eyes. Imagine your children in their future. What do you want for them? What do you want for their lives?

I can imagine that most of you would say happiness, and success. Without their health, neither is possible. So take a minute. Reflect on your life right now. How are you showing this to your children? Is there something you could make more of a priority? Could you make one small change this week?

I would love to chat with you. My passion is making this work for women, mamas, entrepreneurs, mamapreneurs etc. You can make it work. I promise. You are worth it. Your family is worth.

Much Love,
